The certification of Controlled Supply Chain belongs to the family of voluntary basis product certifications.
This certification is based on 2 key-concepts:
- supply chain
- traceability
According to DTP 035, the certification of Controlled Supply Chain attests that, with reasonable reliability, product traceability is guaranteed and documented during the whole supply chain and that hygienic-sanitary requirements according to HACCP criteria are managed in each phase.
Certification procedure
Steps:
- drafting an economic proposition (not binding);
- stipulating a certification contract;
- evaluation of the documentation submitted by the applicant;
- visit to business concern for the purpose of assessment by expert auditors;
- sampling and, in the eventuality, laboratory testing;
- issue of certificate of compliance accompanied by licence to use compliance mark.

- displaying certification on the product itself (with CSQA logo compliance mark);
Why CSQA
CSQA is the first Italian agency to be accredited by Sincert - the Italian national system for the accreditation of certifications bodies, member of EA and IAF - for voluntary food product certification. It is currently accredited for a number of Product Certification Standards (‘Disciplinari Tecnici di Prodotto – DTP’)
